I have a really good pasta sauce recipe (from Spice and Spirit). It includes sautéed onions, eggplants and green pepper. Can I make it in advance and leave it in the fridge for 4-5 days?

That is a long time to keep it refrigerated.
I would actually freeze it as soon as it cools down as tomato sauce freezes really well. I often make a large batch deliberately and then freeze it in smaller containers. I wouldn't keep it frozen for years but it is fine frozen for several months - and certainly for several days.
