I eat sunny-side-up eggs with a dallop of ketchup. I put the ketchup in while the egg is still frying. Anyone else do this?

What weird food combinations do you like?

Here’s something I DONT like. My stepdad made it for dinner when I was a child and I still remember the texture😖…the taste…🤢

It was cooked rice, hot dog franks, who knows what kind of spices and a bunch of dried leaves.
It came out bitter, and the rice was mushy and the hot dog frank tasted of…liquid. Flavorless.
It was not soup, but the food was very very wet. I gagged with every bite 😫

In all seriousness tho, my husband gets squeamish when I mix rice and beans. 😆 it doesn’t look appetizing but it tastes better than it looks

Rice and beans are a standard combination in many parts of the world. DH cooks that up sometimes for a lunch but he makes it too spicy for me.

There are many people who like ketchup with eggs, my kids included. I actually grew up eating scrambled eggs with strawberry jam which my kids think is weird.

My kids are currently obsessed with a combination they made up at shaleshudis - egg salad with peanut butter. They keep trying to get me to taste it but I think it sounds and looks gross.

A relative of mine would mix mustard with his tuna. No mayo, just mustard.
A different relative would put peanut butter on two pieces of bread and sliced corned beef in the middle and eat it as a sandwich.

Grate or melt some cheddar cheese over vanilla ice cream. (I have to be anonymous for this because everyone who knows me can identify me based on this info.)

Green apples with salt, introduced to me by my colomubian cleaning help.
Also, salmon baked with tropical fruits, such as mango, pineapple, etc. (dunno if that is so unusual, though.)

Best sandwich: cream cheese, sliced cheese, tuna egg salad, pickels, lettuce, tomato, onion, potato chips and bam!

I have to be anon for this. Found this out when I got married but DHs entire family (sibling in laws included) have a Pesach thing of tuna fish and chips.

I think it’s disgusting but I’m clearly outnumbered.

Also my sister used to eat ketchup sandwiches for years. Just bread and ketchup. That’s it. She used to eat them til she was like 14. She made one for school every day. I couldn’t even watch it being made. Just ew. So wrong.

Watermelon with salt - my mother does this.

I grew up eating oatmeal with salt and butter. I never heard of sweet oatmeal growing up.
