I heard in the news bad things about singular expecially in children.
a few kids committed suicide.
please post comments if you are familiar with this.

I know, I heard it also, it's the scariest thing. Have a kid away in Yeshiva who takes it, I called him up and told him about it and asked him if he was feeling depressed. It's a popular drug.

I have a preschooler with asthma, who this drug has helped keep off oral steriods this year. I plan to e-mail my pulmonologist about this ASAP.

I wouldn't worry about it, unless you actually see something in the behavior. Especially in the preschoolers, who it shouldn't be a problem to start with.

My son is on singulair medication for a few years asked my pulminary dr. about it he said not to worry about it nothing confirmed yet

My pulmonologist indicated that they are not taking kids off the medication unless behavioral probs are indicated. He offered me a trial off for my dd if he examines her and she is doing well and then he would examine her a month later to see the effect of stopping the medication. He indicated that they believed Singulair is a good drug which has helped many and the benefits may outweigh the risk.
