The ikker is to fast. even if you don't mourn the beis hamikdash and promise tshuvah, fasting is still the order of the day. going on imamother takes nothing away from that.

Afaik one is not supposed to do anything that's not related to the churban until after chatzos which is approximately 1:00 pm Tuesday. This means no reading books that have nothing to do with churban and no playing games, etc. I've heard that reading about WWII is allowed. So I won't come online until 1:00. Now b4 you all jump down my throat, I'm only talking about what I've heard and seen in my community. I think this is a quesion that needs to be asked from a rav.

Yes, that's right, there is "not supposed to do" and then there is how you feel about it . . .
Like I didn't paint my nails erev shabbos b/c I heard the 9 days weren't "a time to indulge yourself" but I'm not sure I HAD to forgo painting them.

after chatzos, you can do anything that helps you get through the fast. I'll probably be here in thea fternoon too.

don't forget that chatzos is different ... in different areas ... it depends on the sunset and surise ... in cleveland it is 1:33 p.m.
as for me ... I don't know ...

well I'm bored stiff and how long cani stay in bed and read.... I've read stuff in the temle site about the beis hamikdash and I need something that will help me get through the day, so I'm on now.

I can't look at my baby at certain times without smiling, so I shouldn't look at my baby during 9th of AV in case he does something cute?
Or can I only look at him after Chatzot...

ur welcome 2 move here - hardly worth it 4 the sake of a few hrs tho!!!
re cereal - either its better than the gunk my kids had or u really ARE desperate - when we were at the beechnut babyrice stage all I wanted 2 do w it was paste up wallpaper!!!
