HI, I have two packages of won ton wrappers that I had purchased to make won tons for a simcha, but I ended up not making them. Any idea of creative uses for them, other than won tons or egg rolls? Thanks so much!

I buy the little cocktail sized hot dogs and wrap them in the wrappers egg roll style and then fry them. Use a drop of water to get it to stick before frying. They usually get eaten bedore they even make it to the table!

I once made wontons with vegetables inside, it was really good. I don't remember where the recipe was from but basically you cut peppers, mushrooms and onions really small and lightly saute. You take the wonton wrappers and put them in muffin tins so they are open wide and fill them with the vegetable mixture. Then you bake. Makes a great appetzier.

I defrost. Sprinkle with Cinnamon and sugar. Bake in the oven for around 10 minutes until they are slightly brown. I then make napolean cream and serve if for dessert. heaven.

I'm using the ones I found in a pre pre pesach freezer clearout to make vegetable hamentashen for first course of the seuda. Three flavors, sweet potato, mushroom and spinach for color contrast, prob with a spicy tomato based dip.

I was going to suggest this! They are amazing and you can bake them if you don't want to fry them.

Boiled wonton, kreplach style.
Fill the centre with chicken mince, chopped scallion, if you want it more oriental you can add chopped shiitake mushroom and/or water chestnuts or coriander leaves, and season with a bit of sesame oil. Wet finger and seal, boil in lightly salted water till they start to float on the top. Best eaten straight away, as is with a bit of soy sauce and vinegar, or in chicken soup.

Ami had this once featured and I have made it a bunch of times - a huge hit! Put a scoop of cookie dough inside a wrapper and fold over in a diagonal to form a triangle.Make sure to seal the sides well. Deep fry them and them when they are cooled off a bit, drizzle melted chocolate and powdered sugar on them. They are SO good...and SO fattening lol
