I never heard of giving adults presents. In fact, in my family it's gelt, not presents. My husband insisted on giving our son presents, but we neither got nor gave anyone anything else. Oh, my IL's and my parents gave our son gelt.

Family sends money which always "fits". Various bosses/supervisors give us year end bonuses of cash and gift cards.

DH also gets gifts. Which are usually hated and not used.

Office gets a lot of baskets; the fruit is appreciated and is sitting under my desk!

I got the most yummy pair of cozy Pajamas from my little sister.
My other sister got me a nice bottle of body-wash, and hand-cream, which I love.
My Aunt got me a ceramic dish which you drizzle Essential-Oil into, and light a tea-light on the bottom. It made our house smell so nice!!
I always wanted to get that for myself!!!

My kids got some really nice toys from their Aunt, Gramma, and us.

DH has been so busy this week, and so was I with the kids (everyone was home almost all week), so we didn't have a chance to exchange gifts with each other, but we still have tomorrow and Shabbos.... LOL

I always got chanukah gelt and no gifts.

Same here, we were both brought up with Chanukah Gelt, and received it once more this year from our families!

We had tonz of Chanukah parites at our place and it was alot of fun.

Best of all, we received the gift of continious life, happiness and health, what more can we ask for?

I got a tea kettle from my family. Simple, but I needed it. Or actually they needed it, because when they come over they always have to make tea in the microwave.
