I used it for kugels, cupcakes, and cakes and it looked fine. Family had the kugel and they are all ok. Now I went to make brownies and the oil looks foggy. Almost like something settled? No pieces, just not clear. I threw it away but is my food ok? I bought walnut oil now, I didn’t realize how bad cottonseed is

Nothing wrong. That's the texture of cottonseed oil.
