Because some of their products are really unsafe and shouldn’t be allowed on the market.

I use Palmolive.
I've been using the st Moritz or other brands and I hated it every single year.
Until one year I was in early pregnancy over pesach. And the smell of the pedach beans made me run to the toilet bowl... if I actually made it out was good....
Dh asked it rav, he was like, what do you use all year?, "palmolive" that's a perfectly kosher brand to use for pesach too.
Asks since then I use that and my dishes are perfectly clean.

I've never used st. Moritz oven cleaner, but over the years I've seen several letters of warning written into publications such as the yated, that it has caused severe burns and breathing issues that required hospital/emergency room services.

One always need to use gloves with oven cleaner regardless of brand.
There are two sides to every coin. If people don't read and follow instructions on bottle what do they expect?
It's an excellent product, just need to be handled with care.

At least one of their products (one of the oven cleaners) has caused a lot of harm . You can google it or do a search here.

If a product can’t be returned because of “hazmat safety reasons” it shouldn’t be sold.

Everyone can make their own choice, but as for me, I won't take a risk with a product that has landed many people in the hospital, especially when there are safe alternatives. (I also remember seeing ads one year where a few rabbanim put out a PSA saying not to use this specific oven cleaner. Whatever the reason for it, there must have been way too many injuries and hospitalizations that were brought to their attention. Which is scary in itself, I've never once come across a PSA from rabbanim about any other cleaning product.)

St Moritz is the only one that is sold in the supermarkets that is caustic.
I'm not saying I don't use it and lock it up, but it's really strange that it's sold so casually.

I said that it can’t be returned because of hazmat safety concerns. You said most cleaning products would have to be banned, presumably because they have the same issue. I’m showing you that this isn’t true.
My point was that if a product can’t be returned due to safety concerns, it shouldn’t be being sold in the first place.
