I'm just curious....if you purchase a home for 600-700k and there is not tenant to help with a mortgage....how much are you paying a monthly mortgage ?
Also what was ur down payment?

I live in Linden. I was the one who was quoted above from the mo community. Feel free to ama 😀
There is a little kosher grocery store in Elizabeth where I buy things sometimes called one stop or I buy in Elizabeth shoprite. I believe all fresh has cy items too but I'm telling you now, if a kosher grocery store opens in Linden, I'll shop there! 😉 oh and we have bakeristor, yum

We bought in 2014. A fixer upper. I don't recommend that at all! My husband is working on it still. We paid 158k. I think 5% down if I remember. But I don't think my situation is typical. Like I said, don't do what I did. I'll never buy a house like this if I had another choice later on

I live in Linden am part of a beautiful chassidish community!
We bought a few years back when prices were very low and paid less than 300k!! Part of the reason we did it cuz we didn't want a tenant and the price was affordable without one

Houses in linden are going for about 500-700k. Gorgeous new houses can go up to a million. Further out might be somewhat cheaper. Not sure about mortgages now as the rates went up, I’m estimating 4-5k a month but not sure…

Im trying to figure out whats so affordable about linden at this point if homes are going for 500-700 range with a 4000-6000 mortgage with no tenant.

Whats still pulling ppl to move out there given the information above…???
