Think about it from the givers side, so many people, family friends former classmates and all kinds iof important organizations are asking for donations. There is,only so much money one has to give away. They want to help everyone. They follow Torah halacha, which says family first, poor in your city and Israel next, than others... they trust that you asked because you really need for necessities.
once the money is given they take note of the Impact it had. They need to know for next time.
