Absolutely do not sell
Unless you had a 20k debt that you want to just pay off, and your income is fine.
Otherwise, the 20k will be gone and you’ll be in the same position without the item of value that will bring you joy (and yes, if it’s jewelry, you can still wear it! You bought it beforehand, and you are entitled to be happy!)

Don't sell your things at a loss. But also don't buy things you can't afford if you don't have the cash in hand. It's better so save up for an item over time than to put it on a credit card hoping the money will come in. That only digs you deeper into debt.
