I searched bris dress here and found some great websites and suggestions for mom... but where do I find the "dress" for the baby. I looked up christening dress- that sounds so wrong- and found many very fluffy feminine outfits. What do I search for?

2 piece knit white baby outfit. Pants & top is perfect, no need for a gown.
Is there a bris gemach in your community or someone who recently made a bris & would lend you an outfit?

I use a white top and pants set
The gemach you use for the pillow most likely has an outfit as well

Doesn't pants make it harder for the MOHEL?

No. The pants are off for the actual Bris and get put back on after

Bonknit.com has knit outfits
Pants is no problem, mohel takes off and tucks baby into the bris pillow anyway
Make sure to put a onesie underneath so the outfit doesn't get stained

If you're in Brooklyn, a family member has a bris gemach as a zechus for a relative.
They provide the outfit and the poya/pillow the baby is on during the bris.
Most mohelim prefer a 2 piece set with pants that they remove during the bris.
PM me for details.

Our mohel was very happy we picked a gown. He was able to wrap it up over baby and contain his arms too. I felt terrible about the idea of moving my baby’s legs trying to get him back into a pair of pants after going through that.
Baby Beau and Belle has a lovely bris collection: https://babybeauandbelle.com/c.....ris-1
I had planned on getting the Harrison gown for mine but he was so tiny by his bris he needed a preemie size.
We ended up with this one: https://magnoliababy.com/produ.....04691
Magnolia baby does make a bris collection with a Star of David on it but it wasn’t my taste.
This one also was another top contender, but again, was too big https://www.pixielily.com/coll.....-sack

the baby can wear ANYTHING!!
you don’t need to spend extra money on a bris outfit.
there is no need for that.
the baby can wear an undershirt and be wrapped in a blanket after.
if you WANT to buy something, you can, but there is really no minhag or inyan for the baby to wear something special.
please don’t stress about what the baby will wear.
if you do want your baby to wear something very pretty, ask around. I am sure someone has something to lend you (just ask about how they want it washed)
some mohelim have outfits they lend out.
(my baby had a bris last week. we had a beautiful outfit for him and he never even wore the pants. we took them off when we got to the shul, and didn’t put them back on. the baby had a lot of bleeding and I didn’t want to ruin the pants.)

We've been using a gown we got as a hand me down, so it's over 20 years old. With my last baby, my big kids freaked out that it's so old fashioned and out of date, not no one saw it!! Baby was wrapped in a blanket except during the actual bris where believe me the men don't care, mohel liked the easy access, and I'm not sure why I took my kids' concerns seriously and tried to figure out an alternate outfit...

Thanks! These are great! Our mohel says a gown is way easier to deal with.
