Those meats work, they are the cheapest meats basically
I use bone in flanken, it’s beyond delicious and moist

Tysm is chuck the same as small? The chuck is almost 30 dollars and small is 10. My cholent is only for five people?

I’ve tried the cubes. They’re really not working for me. Not sure why. Do other people do minute steak? Never heard of that.

We also tried beef cubes. It didn’t work for us either. Though we use bone in flanken, or cheek meat or shoulder kalichel. These all come out very soft and flavorful. I would try spare ribs, I think my family would like it. I don’t know about my wallet though.

I use baby kalichel from gourmet Glatt and it's amazing in cholent! I'm assuming that's what evergreen calls small kalichel. Around $10
