I want to purchase one of these- Does anyone know the pros and cons for each of them?

A crib is more comfortable, the mattress is hard. A pack n play is more portable but it's not comfortable.
There's a store in Brooklyn that makes crib mattresses for the pack n play.

All kinds of mattresses are made for P&P and sold separately. Get a nice thick one and the P&P is as comfy as a crib. If you're looking for portability, P&P wins hands down. Only down side is you have to fold yourself double to pick an infant up out of it. Kills your back and terrible if you're very short. Portacrib mattress sits higher so easier on your back. Also some portacribs are actually smaller inside than P&P and really suitable only for an infant up to maybe 6 months.

It does not fit perfectly. It leaves spaces at the sides which may be a hazard for babies.

Pack n play is more comfortable (with mattress) and can be used longer. My big baby was hurting himself on the bars of a crib so I switched to pack n play

Some pack n plays have a newborn riser so you don't need to fold yourself in half to get kiddo out. Only usable until the baby starts rolling, but so worth it

It doesn’t. It’s smaller than a pack and play and not safe once the baby moves around bec there will be spaces on the sides
I originally thought this too and I sent my porter crib mattress to my babysitter for my baby in the pack n play and the babysitter pointed it out to me.

Correct. There is a different size for pack n play.
