Hi! My daughter and son in law iyH will be having a baby. They are each still on parent plans. I understand their baby will need to be on new Jersey family care bc he is in kollel and she is in school with a part time income but not a lot- neither has a job with insurance. How do we set that up? Is this the same as applying for Medicaid? They probably would qualify but they never set that up since they each have insurance through parents. What do we need for their baby to have insurnace and how do they do this? And does wedding money in a savings account affect anything?

Talk to lrrc, they can guide you through it. Jerseycare/Medicaid eligibility is based on income, not savings
