Sequoia and you both have good points.
I think I need to first write the entire series, and then go back and make it consistent. I could make the three I wrote consistent, but I'm definitely going to make inconsistencies with future Boris the Terrible stories.

Anyway, I figured it out. Substack now tries to get subscribers to pledge money. I cannot seem to turn this off. For the record, do not pledge money to my substack. Say some tehillim or do a mitzvah or something. That's probably why people are unsubscribing, nothing to do with Boris the Terrible.
Also, now I have to come up with Purim and Pesach in short succession. It turns out that I'm a great deal better at writing Boris the Terrible stories than I am at making shalach manos or cleaning for Pesach.
