Also, the 3 kids on a Graco idea... sounds cute, and I thought of it too, although I don't have 3 yet. But it is SOOO hard to push with just 2. That's why I want to get the Contours, because it rides way smoother. And next fall I'll have to walk my son to cheder. Over a mile in the morning and same in the afternoon. I'll NEED something that glides.

The Combi seems to be doing fine for now, pushes nicely, and serves my needs (lightweight, compact fold, not too tall). I know it won't last forever, but IY"H there will be a better market out there when it's time for a new one

The reviews are mixed, but at least it's on the cheaper end if this is a consideration. And it looks pretty versatile, which is also nice. |
That stroller looks like a cool idea, however, it says that the maximum weight limit is 40 lbs!! My single stroller has a maximum weight limit of 45 lbs-- 40 lbs is not very high, especially if your kids tend to be larger.

it's max 40 lbs each seat. I was wondering also if it was a total of 40 lbs (it wasn't clear on their website) but I checked amazon & there it said 40 lbs for each seat.
40 lbs each seat isn't bad- that's a nice size 4 yo

How do you like it Gamzu? I tried it in the store and it seemed kind of clumsy, although it does look nice. I felt that the foot rests kept getting in the way of reclining the seats, ect. It is also pretty heavy. Do you lift it in and out of the car?

Micki...which specific stroller is this?
I am due at the beg. of Sept and have a 3 yr old and a 1.5, so I want something that can give my oldest the option for a ride, but not, ya know, the most comfortable ideal option so he or #2 will opt to walk some of it...(if you know what I mean)
Someone had suggested to me to get a double with a buggy board...
I am only starting my research ont his--recalling our first stroller purchase I find this overwhelming...like buying a car!

1. Jane Powertwin - a tandem
This is my fave but downside is price and weight if u need 2 lift it in n out the car alot.
2. Valco single with toddler seat attached
downside is the older child's seat has no head-rest or recline, it also can never be used for two babies, I know u dont need 2 worry about that now but maybe u want 2 have that in mind if ur going to have more kids in the future...
3. Phil & Teds
downside is practically no storage when u use it in the doubles mode an I have read reviews that some babies in the 3-6m range dont like being cooped up in the lower baby attachment, and im not sure u can attach a car-seat 2 it

I have the Valco with the toddler seat attachment. I had a 2.5 yr old with a newborn, and HATED it. First of all as you already noted the toddler seat does not recline but besides that I could not get the stroller to push in a straight line. I oiled the wheels with vaseline and WD40, and pumped them regularly and all the other tips and advice - but nothing helped. I killed my hands going out with it every time. And it was expensive so I couldn't just dump it.
Thank goodness it's now a yr later and my big boy walks everywhere very nicely

I have the valco with the toddler seat attachment. I would say if you already have a valco its worth it to add the toddler seat. its pretty cheap. but its hard to push when the baby is a newborn or very light because it is front heavy. the front tire needs to be pumped regually and oiled. but if you don't have it buy a double stroller that has an option for a 3rd seat especially if having another is in your future. I think the mountain buggy and valco sell carseat attachments.

I don't need to lift it, so it's ok. But it is pretty heavy. It pushes well, though. Not too heavy to push.
Is it clumsy? Not any more so than my previous Graco tandem or a Mountain Buggy. I have tried those on occasion and they are unwieldy also.
The only time the footrest gets in the way is when the seat near the handle is facing the handle. The footrest extends lower than the basket and ends up either in the basket or out of it. If it's inside, it bumps against the basket when you try to recline.
The solution is to push it back as far as possible, and then it clears the basket frame.
