MO schools on Long Island
DH is a ger, very few of our friends know it. He has a Jewish first name and his dad is Jewish so last name is Jewish too.
I never fill that out on any forms. It's no one's business. Besides, I'm ffb and that's all that matters as far as our kids are concerned.

I find this mind-boggling.

If conversion information is requested, how far back? For example, some schools just ask whether the child's mother converted, while others ask for information for multiple generations on the mother's side.
I am curious how our day school's requirements, which I think have tightened from past years, compare with others.
Also, if you don't mind, share the approximate hashkafah and location of your school. |
if a school asks if the parent is a "natural" parent, that might have no connection to conversion or judaism. they may be asking about your parenting styles... how "natural" you are regarding natural foods, immunizations, breastfeeding, childcare, etc.
