I just grabbed the food processor from DS & threw out the egg he wanted to use to make mayo.
We ordered 2 or 3 cases of eggs & keep them in the basement for 2 weeks. Fine.
You can even leave a flat of eggs on the counter while you're baking. Fine.
But if you are going to keep the flat of eggs in between the stoves, Hashem Yerachem, at least please don't use them to make mayo with a raw egg! At least use a fresh, refrigerated egg from the store that we bought today.
Am I crazy or are my kids?
(I am waiting for s/o to get back from the store with more oil so maybe I can make mayo with a cooked egg!)

If the egg was refrigerated, it needs to stay refrigerated. I understand unrefrigerated eggs can stay unrefrigerated,m but I don't know for how long.
Having said that, I don't make anything with raw eggs.

In Israel, Raw eggs can stay out until first date stamped on them, Refrigerated eggs can be used until second day stamped, usually a month after the first date.

We leave our eggs out. For personal consumption anyways.
