Now dd wants a big bed and I guess I'll be getting more linens; what's the least I can get away with?

You mean, a bed for two? Tell her it's more annoying than useful, it takes up tons of place in the bedroom...

SaraG, I think 2 is enough to start out with. If you put your linen in the dryer, you can even manage with one good set.

3 sets of white?
I never heard of anyone getting more then one set of white
we use it only 7 or max 8 days, so why isnt one set enough
by the time you need it again , atleast 3 weeks have passed that leaves enough time to wash !!!
I got 3 colored and one white for my wedding and it was plenty

I have two sets. I used to only have one, but that got difficult with the laundry.

I have two, but like mali said, you can definitely manage with one. I like to wash and dry my linen the same day I change it so one set is really sufficient.

I think we have one full set. the rest is whatever we both brought with us from before we were married. my husband and I rarely have matching sheets at all:) but we dont care at all.
I think we have one white sheet at all and it feels like a hospital when either one of us uses it.
(off topic): do ppl really use white sheets when they are in nidda? just wondering if this is a wide spread thing or just some ppl.
I know my kallah teacher told me that it is not a must, so I am just curious.

Ah. So if the bed is only for DH, then one set is okay to start with. Got it.

We used to have 2 sets & after 7 years dumped both & bought 1 new set. It's cheapo but nice & when its done, it's done. I wash it & dry it & put it back on the beds in one day.

You are getting only one larger bed and your bed won't have the same set of linen? Won't that look funny?

I have two, but mostly only use one since I don't like the 2nd set that much (it's not 100% cotton). I just wash it and dry it, and put it back on the beds the same day.

Not everyone has matching linens. It's nice, but not a necessity.

I have 2 nice sets and 1 less nice set that I use for guests. I don't have a complete white linen set. Only bought a few white sheets. I wanted to buy a new linen set already a yr ago for our anniversary but whenever I want to do it, just can't find the $. So we continue with our old sets!
