Beef stew in the crock pot?

Hi Everyone,
I am suddenly in the mood to make beef stew, but have never done it before. Does anyone have a good crock pot recipe for beef stew?
For some reason all the stews that I make look just like chulent!

Here are a few:

Hungarian Goulash
In 4 qt crockpot (more or less) put:
1 lb ground beef
1 large sliced onion
1 minced garlic clove
1/2 C
2 T Worcestershire or tamari sauce
2 T brown sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 C water.
Cook on low 5-6 hours. Then dissolve 1/4 C flour in 1/4 C cold water and stir this into the mixture in the crockpot, cook on high 10-15 more minutes, and serve over noodles or rice.

Slow-cooker stew
In a 4-5 qt crockpot put:
1 lb cubed lean beef
2 C diced canned tomatoes, undrained
1 C broth or water
1/4 C red wine
1 T worcestershire or tamari sauce
1 bay leaf
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp dried marjoram
1 T crushed garlic
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 diced onion
2-3 medium diced potatoes
1 C chopped carrots
Cook on high 4-6 hours.

Gone all day dinner
In 5 qt crockpot combine:
1 C uncooked wild or brown rice
1 C chopped celery
1 c chopped carrots
2 4 oz cans mushrooms, drained
1/2 C slivered almonds
3 beef bouillon cubes
2 1/2 tsp seasoned salt or your choice of seasonings
2 lbs boneless round steak in bite sized pieces
3 C water.
Cook on low 6-8 hours

Fruity vegetable beef stew
In 4 qt crockpot combine
3/4-1 lb browned stewing meat
1 14 oz can broth or else water
1 14 oz can tomatoes
1 1/2 C butternut squash, peeled and cubed
1 C frozen corn
6 dried apricot or peach halves, chopped
1/2 C chopped carrots
1 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Cook 5-6 hours on high. Then combine 2 T cornstarch in 1/4 C water and stir into stew and cook another 30 minutes on high. Serve topped with 2 T fresh minced parsley.
