problem is my feet hurt when I wear anything higher than 1 inch, but my dh really enjoys when I wear like 2 1/2 inches, whats the solution ? (1 solution is having him wear these shoes for 30 minutes....)

Can you wear them for special occasions when you are with him?
If you are going out with him and taking the car (not somewhere where you'll be on your feet for more than 30 minutes.)
If you go out with him for a meal on Shabbos, maybe wear flats while walking, but then change into heals once you get there?

Is it ALL heels? I have a pair of 4 inch heels and I've never owned anything more comfortable. They feel better then my flats!

I totally agree. It depends on the shoe.
Find a company that feels right on your feet--that is if you want to wear heels.
I live in four inch heels and I find them to be more comfortable than flats. (I know, I've shortened my achilles tendon. I don't need a preaching.)

Make them exclusively for him: wear them only in the bedroom.

get a pair of dr scholl's gel inserts for the front of the foot. they should cost about $5. don't try the other brands, I find they're not as good. don't use the adhesive strips that come with them, that way you can use one pair of inserts for many pairs of heels.
also, make sure the shoes fit properly. my feet shrink whenever I lose weight, and heels that were previously comfy suddenly become a terror to walk in. if you have that little bit of room in the heel, it makes a huge difference in a very nasty way.

We know your husband loves them, but the question is, do you love them?
I would hope he wouldn't want you to endure pain for his enjoyment.

I agree with mummiedearest. get the Dr. Scholl's gel inserts. I bought the one that you put into the whole shoe, not just the front of the foot. I don't know how I ever survived without them!

lady godiva, if you wanna say that heels are hotter than flats, thats true. but if you think theyre more comfy, not true, cuz they arent. thats like saying its more comfy to wear a wig than your own hair.

Yes, some heels are more comfy than some flats. Especially if your feet are used to heels.
Now, being in pain just to wear shoes he likes? I wouldn't do it unless I wanted it also.

I just checked, the brand name is 'Unlisted'. Believe it or not, I bought them a few years ago on Overstock.com! To be fair, they are sort of a chunky heel and the front has a slight platform. More funky then classy. Maybe that's what makes them comfortable. 3 minutes with a stiletto and chances are I'd be black and blue. I'm clumsy enough in slippers!

I'm not a skinny person at all - far from it! and I'm very comfortable in heels - to be more precise, in stilletos!!
I find heels to be much more comfy than flats for me! I wear heels on a daily basis - all my boots are heeled. In the summer my mother convinced me to get a pair of flats, I wore them but I wasn't as comfy as in heels. There are people like that.
My grandmother, may she live until 120, is getting close to 90 and still wears heels at every simcha etc... (She claims that in the ghetto when they gave out shoes - the shoes that fit her were heeled and thus she got used to them and was very comfy in them - I think it's nature and I took after her!!)
OP you should be able to find a comfy pair of heels. I think heeled boots are more comfy than regular heeled shoes, so now that it's winter find a pair of heeled boots!
Don't ruin your feet because of dh, I'm sure he loves you anyway and wouldn't want it.
Good luck

When you get your feet used to wearing heels, wearing flats actually hurt. Also, some heels hold your feet better than flats do. (At least for me.)

I wear heels a lot and have very few pairs of flats. but my feet hurt so much more from the flats than from any heels I own. I have more backaches from flat shoes too. somehow they cut into my feet at points that heels dont, squash my toes more than heels too. I have one pair of heels that not so high and those are my most uncomfortable heels also. I have some 4 inch shoes that I wear that I wear when I go out on shabbos and they dont hurt. of course wearing heels for extended amounts of time will eventually cause pain to your feet, but the shoe itself is not uncomfortable. I do wear flat shoes if I do a lot of walking, but I have only one pair that doesnt end up killing me by the end of the day. I guess everyone is different.
