At 29 months, one twin is starting to show signs of readiness and the other twin isn't. They're both special needs and far behind, so 29 months seems about right for the twin with fewer issues to get started.......
She's been bringing me books about the potty and asking me to read them, pulling on her diaper whenever there's anything in it, and starting to say the words (even if it's at the wrong time).
Should I start sitting her on the potty from time to time and see what happens and start training her slowly at her pace? Or would it be better to wait until her twin is ready and potty train them QUICKLY both at once?
We're out of the house a lot, so though at home I'd be willing to try underwear or naked tush, I'd be putting on easy ups or diapers for the car and for being out and about-- does that send the wrong message, or should I schedule some time when we can be at home full time for a while?
If you were me, would you wait until the other twin is closer to ready? Or would you start her now? And then what about going out? Obviously for nap and bed we'd stick with diapers for a while- they're still in cribs.
