Is anybody interested in learning over the phone? I need the motivation of learning together with someone else, but can't get together with anyone.

where do you live?

what do you want to learn?

what is your level of knowledge?

I live near Montreal, but have unlimited long distance to North America.

I'd like to learn anything - Chassidus, Mussar, whatever. (I'd prefer Chassidus cuz I'm Lubavitch, but I'm still a Bais Yaakov girl at heart.)
I think I just answered your next question, too.

If you're good at initiating, I'd be game. (I will never remember to call someone at a specific time, but I have a flexible enough schedule to be able to learn basically at the drop of a hat.)

Hisorerus, you beat me to it! Thank you, my Morah will be so proud of me!

RG, I'm a Lubavitcher who went through the Bais Yaakov system, so I am comfortable with both ways. However, I'm not so great in either, for example because I went through BJ not Lubavitch schools I don't know Yiddish, and because I'm Lubavitch I'm not so familiar with all the other Gedolim and Sefarim.

I wouldn't mind a learning partner too, a teacher figure, and our calling cards are so cheap......except I don't wanna give my identity away Confused ah well, can't have it all ways!
can I at least get a mitzva note for trying? Very Happy

Ozmom, I have a very cheap Ozzie calling card, so if you're willing to become not quite so anonymous, please PM me.

Oh I'm sorry I overlooked ur reply, didn't mean to be rude

Thats so kind of you to offer thankyou, and if it were not for the anonymity thingy then I would possibly take it up with you.
I would foot the bill, though if you indeed fit the role I'm looking for as I really want someone to teach me, rather then someone to partner with me.
that said, I am somewhat finicky about being anonymous, and I've given myself up to too many ppl already so I'm gonna lay back low.

I will certainly keep ur offer in mind, in case I change my mind.
I think its very nice of you to offer and am touched. Very Happy

Depending on what level you're on, I think I could "teach" a subject, better if I prepare in advance of course. I am looking for more chavrusas because I don't learn unless somebody pushes me.

hisorerus, are you my twin, clone, whatever? (twenty- some years later) First Flybabies, and now this. My son pointed out that the biggest benefit of my craze with imamother ( yes they know I'm amother Wink) is that I've learned 'so much' because of it. He saw the seforim I took out to respond to some posts. LOL [He was sticking up for me after another 'anonymous' family member complained that I was on it too much. Please do not make a poll about that, amother. (Does SY family like it when she's on imamother or not Very Happy Question Sad LOL No need for one: No, they do not like it ).]

However, I don't think they would be opposed to a phone chavrusa I.e. connect it. Could any of you PM me about that?
