I am in the middle of decorating my boys room. Their linen is a nautical theme and the room is painted light blue. I am looking for cute ideas. I would like to do it myself....
Have you ever decorated a cute bedroom?
Would love to see pictures of your childrens cute rooms...

I have a nautical theme boys room...but much simpliar then the one shown from laura ashley...
ill take pics tom. cuz my kids r sleeping now..I dont like to much patchka

What is your budget?

You can get thoseboat bedframes, so cool. For something cheap, just paint the wall navy blue, and make light blue waves coming up from the bottom. Paint the inside of the windowsill light blue.

get life preserves to hang on the wall ... a beach ball ... a border with lighthouses ... sailor hats ... frames with seashells ...

Ok! I finally have an idea. I already have furniture in the room, natural wood armiore and bookcase. so I'm changing the knobs to navy. I ordered 2 navy night tables. I'm going to paint a navy stripe btw. the two beds on the wall and near both walls on either side and put up a picture above each bed. I found something really cute on domestications website, but it's expensive. I need a cheap painting etc...
then I want to do something for the windows, They have 3 big windows with just white wooden slats shades.
anyway, I would love to see pictures to get more ideas b/4 I actually start.

chayitty - nice room but I would've painted it sky blue with the border in the middle ... and of course the picture is adorable ...

the armoir and the backboard from the bed is a set
the room was freshly painted when I moved in and it didnt pay for me to repaint it..
the border is ontop bec. there is a molding going around the top of the room and it fits in perfect bet. the cieling and the molding...so it just make sense...besides I only really like thinner borders going around the center of room
the pic I actually didnt take...it was b4 I went into photography...but I told her my concept and very happy with the way it came out!

So Cute! I love the picture! I've gotten tons of stuff at Ikea - so reasonably priced - but I think pottery barn kids has curtains made from sailcloth or maybe company kids - maybe you get a stick on mural of a wave patttern
