Whenever I go on the bus, I always remind my kids that when we leave the bus we always tell the driver thank you. Yesterday I forgot to remind them and I'm totally shepping nachas now. As we got off I said thank you and was waiting for my kids to get off. First ds turns to the driver and loud and clear tells him Thank You!! The driver gave him this huge smile and said YOURE WELCOME!! Same with dd, she said thank you and he just smiled back and gave her a huge YOURE WELCOME!! I feel so proud!! I'm constantly trying to teach my kids that it's Please, Thank You and Excuse me that makes a person a mentch and I'm glad it's paying off!!

Yasher koach to you. It's not often you come across kids who say thank you for such things.

I wonder if anyone else on the bus learned from your children and when they got off the bus also said, thank you.

its such a nice feeling when your kids act on something you've been trying to teach them. I was so proud when my toddler passed up a cookie to have an apple instead!
