I was thinking the same thing, but then I figured people would say...8 years old...iron...no way...that's so dangerous!!!

Hahaha Smile My kids would never even know to ask that! They have no idea what an iron is. Smile You could put it on a cold setting though and let her play.

One of the first times I went to my il's, I wanted to iron something. You should've seen the iron. It must've been 100 years old. I don't remember if it worked or not, but I do know that they never used it.

We've learned never to count on someone else's iron! We've been guests at a few homes where the iron was old and rusty on the bottom, non-existent, or just a terrible iron.

I'd say "Hell, no." Okay, maybe without the hell...
Take this as an opportunity to teach her to fold her doll's clothing properly so they don't crease.
I'm impressed, really, I am.

Actually, my kids found the iron in a closet. Once my mother was here and they were playing with it- running with it back and forth along the corridor wall and making heavy machinery sounds LOL She said that she can tell how often I use the iron by the way the kids played with it. LOL

PS, Greenie, I am impressed by your kids!

Thats still dangerous in my opinion. she might learn to heat it up herself when momy is NOT around.
I would tell her dolls cloths don't need ironing cuz when u play with them they get creased again so its a petty I'd rather teach her something instead (pertaining to the doll) like braiding

I learned to iron when I was 7, so if she's responsible enough, you could teach her how to iron. Though doll clothes are a pain in the but to do because they are so tiny.
