I'm going to Israel for a wedding. I know it sounds funny but we are tight at the moment and I was wondering what I can get for cheaper in Israel...for example I need new snoods but I think they are cheaper in Israel so I am going to wait for my trip and buy them there.
Any other things you can think of? I don't want to shop just for the sake of buying but it's things I need, I wouldn't mind taking care of it there.
Something else that comes to mind is Judaica - siddurim, little boys tzitzit, kappels, maybe the wool tzitsis too, costume jewelry....
anything else you can think of??

eggs, milk, clothing,
Israel in general is lower standard so most stuff are cheaper there. But don't shop in English areas as they make sure to price like in USA ++
On the other hand, some stuff are more expensive like imported stuff like cars (but I don't think that's relevant to OP)
Judaica I think is basically the same prices but not sure.
Shell station shells are more expensive as they are imported from america.
But other shells are cheaper (though not same quality in my opinion). Clothing in general is way cheaper than Boro Park and Lkwd.
If I think of anything else I'll let you know

T-shirt tzitzis are cheaper for sure. I pay about $7 a pair here in Israel (kids and adults). On Eichlers they are $15-$18 a pair, and even more expensive on Amazon.
Tichels and pretied tichels are cheaper here - I'm not sure if snoods are since they often bring them in from the US (like the revaz brand).

Please tell me where and when you bought a yarmulka for 20 nis. When I was in the US very recently I bought yamulkas at Zundel Berman for way less than $12 each.

Thank you!
I'm going to be in the English areas....could you direct me to a couple of stores in Geula or somewhere in central Jerusalem for shabbos tops/dresses that is likely to be cheaper than here?

I found snoods to be priced about the same. Maybe a dollar or two less, not significant enough of a difference to buy or not buy there. Tzitzis may have been a drop cheaper but the bigger benefit was that the stores have avodas yad in stock which I have to special order in my local store.

If you do buy tzitzis while in Israel realize that the sizes are completely different. Also, if your husband and sons are very tall and or not so thin, you may have a hard time finding tzitzis that fit properly.

Perhaps try Debbys Dresses. They're an Israeli brand, so it's not American imported products that are marked up. You can see their products online. I'm not sure where you live or what prices are like in the US. I got nice shabbos /simcha dresses in banana and mekimi for under $70-$90 each which I think is a good price.

Me and my girls recently got beautiful, thick, warm sweaters at Tamnum for between 50 and 90 nis. That's between $14 and $24 a sweater!

Wow, really? I mean, living in israel, earning in shekels, and paying in shekels, private dental is not cheap at all.

Someone once said in a thread here that the little kitchen knives you can get get anywhere are cheaper and better quality than you can get in America.
