What are good series to get from the library? My readers are age 9-13. My kids love to read but I never know which are appropriate.
Here’s what I call appropriate:
-No boy/girl stuff
-No stuff about evolution, puberty, transgender/gay
-No stuff that glorifies chutzpah and villainizes parents or has bad values
-no swear words or potty talk
And what I’m looking for is
Wholesome stories about kids learning, having adventures, being curious, imaginative, helpful, kindness. We like non-fiction too, learning books. Good morals. I am ok with magic and villains as part of the plot. The younger kids love comic books and the older kids like novels.
Would love Recs. Ty!

Any suggestions you get, look up on kosherbooks. I find a lot of books we read as kids are not as kosher as we remember.
I run a Whatsapp group for helping people find books if you are interested. Note we are anti woke but other than that, people have different standards.

The most common issues I have are books that are one word issues, for example, one pronoun in the whole book.
Also, very minor romance is common, like main character has a sibling with a boyfriend or a character is awkward around another character etc. if you are hard line against that it is truly very hard to find.
