I have a Billy bookcase with doors over the lower half. No knobs, you push to pop it open. I tried two different types of locks - the magnet kind, and the kind with a hook that you push down. First of all the pieces really didn't align well with the shape of the Billy doors. Then, when I thought I had it figured out, they fell off. The sticky stuff they came with fell off, then I tried mounting tape and it fell off, I tried liquid nails because I was using it for another household repair project and it fell off, and I TRIED KRAZY GLUE AND IT FELL OFF!

So between things not fitting and things falling off I'm extremely frustrated.

I really don't have another place to keep the things that live on these shelves. My home is low on storage space as it is and the Billy was the best solution I could come up with. But my toddler bh is a monster and I can't spend my whole life putting the same things away.

Please send help Help

I have this kind - not necessarily this brand but definitely something similar from Amazon . It works, it's cheap and easy to install. My babies can't figure out how to open it but eventually figure it out as older toddlers (but by then they're not interested in the stuff inside the cabinet)

Would you consider adding handles, just so you can put a childlock across the handles?
