Title says it alllll
I can’t stand the feeling of one but I’m super self conscious of my back. Specifically area under bra/above waist.
Where’s the best place to find and what do you recommend? Tried a girdle once and almost died I couldn’t breathe 😫😂.
Any other options that will contain , well my entire body I guess 🤦♀️ but specifically that targets that area!
Bonus if they have good costumer service that have dealt with people my size 😬 (18).

I recommend a longline bra. You'll probably have to measure yourself and order online, and you might have to size up the band because it can't be too tight.

Thanks! Any store in Lakewood that would have so I can try it on ? Or any recommended brands? I never heard of a longline bra

I don't know why but I've never seen it in a store. I buy most of mine online, so I haven't been to a store in a long time anyway; maybe it's changed. Unfortunately there aren't that many brands either. You can try reading reviews.

maybe a full slip would work to smooth lines or they make girdles that are sort of like bathing suits and go all the way up which smooth out bulges. you don't need to have a very tight one. It's just hard to go to the bathroom bec u have to unsnap the bottom. Try Tafi or saposh in lakewood.

I like the super tight girdles because they do a much better job. But you will be more comfortable in a lighter girdle for sure. I got one from tafi. (The lighter type, the more constricting one I got on Amazon)

I got from saposh it clipped to the bra and it went all the way down and snapped on the bottom and they gave me another girdle to wear on top of that one. It was impossible to go to the bathroom the entire night but I definitely looked thinner

I’m hoping to check out some places tomorrow before ordering online bec I find it easier in person… just wonder if the local places will be way higher in price. For me it’s a one time wear not so worth it to spend so much

The type of thing in the link can ride up. When it rides up you look awful and feel very uncomfortable. You’ll spend the whole night in the bathroom pulling it down. Buy it and try walking around in it for a few hours before the simcha so you don’t have a disaster when you need to look your best.

There’s a place in manhattan- a Jewish owned and run store that’s supposed to be amazing- but I don’t know any other info. Maybe ask around. I hear it’s worth the trip.

I did not find that to be the case at all. In fact I found it to be called comfortable and I went to the bathroom and it easily as well.

I ordered mine on line.
Its like a bathing suit but with chest cut out so you wear your own good supportive bra. Snaps at crotch are a must.
These are amazing

my daughter (size 18) got one like this in Saposh.
It’s comfortable and is not a girdle, but it smooths everything out.
definitely has snaps at the bottom

Yes get one that’s like a bathing suit, anything else will ride up or down. And maybe see if you can get the largest possible size so it’s not as fitted.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I went to a couple places in Lakewood and tried on everything that was suggested here. I ended up with the regular “bathing suit” type girdle that was the most relaxed fit.
