Going to Israel in February, are tours going to mearas hamachpeila now? Would you recommend safety wise?

Yes, we live sort of in the area and go all of the time.
I would recommend taking a bus from the central bus station in yerushalayim, or if you are a big group you can rent a van but that is very pricey. The actual Maarah is safe but the drive there is a bit daunting, especially for those who don’t go often and aren’t used to the roads.

With the bus from Jerusalem to Hebron I always had many soldiers with their weapon so I felt very safe.
Have used that bus every time I've gone to Hebron.
