My oldest is 4. She doesn’t climb out of her crib but I need the crib for my baby and she’s really old enough and ready for a bed.
What do I get? A regular twin size bed with a safety rail? Or a toddler bed specifically? If I get a toddler bed, how long do they last in that? And do they have separate size linen and mattresses for toddler beds or it’s regular twin size mattress on a lower bed?

I would put in a regular bed with a safety rail,
A toddler bed is a crib sized bed. The mattress is the same size in a crib and in a toddler bed.
