No and I’ll be a party pooper here but I hate the fireworks as well. They go on for way too long and wake my kids Punch

sometimes. I'm in a time zone where it is not yet midnight when the ball drops. some years we don't get a good replay, some years I'm watching something else or sleeping

Hopefully the fireworks will end sooner because of it.

I was out walking with a friend last night at half past midnight, Israeli time. There was a little ball that some child had left in the street, so she picked it up, and ceremonially dropped it. Following which, I found a clip of Big Ben striking midnight, and made her watch it. Once we had covered new years in both our countries of origin, we laughed and carried in with our walk.

No. Never did. Nor do I stay up to hear the hullabaloo. Since retiring, legal holidays have no meaning for me aside from the fact that banks and post offices are closed. And I put "get haircut" on my to do list before realizing the hairdresser would be closed.

Last night I kept hearing what sounded like thunder except it was too regular and frequent. Later understood that it was firecrackers.

And I would never go to Times Square to watch even if I did watch. I stay away from crowd scenes except protest rallies in support of Israel.

Many years ago I was at the 34th st macys in Manhattan a week before new years and they had the ball on display (don't know if they always have it because I don't usually shop there). It was cool to see it up close and when younger I would watch it then but now I don't. Now it just doesn't have the same vibe as it did back then or maybe I'm just getting old.
