If you live in the tri-state area and teach high school girls, either limudei kodesh, chol, or both, can you post how many periods per week you teach? In how many schools? How many days of the week? If you're in more than one school in a day, how much time do you need to get to the second school?
I'm trying to decide if I can add more periods to my schedule next year, and if it's done and feasible.
Right now I'm teaching twice a week, and I do 3 or 4 periods in two schools each day I teach.

So three per day?
Do you find it overwhelming?
Do you think you'd be able to add another day or more periods in the days you're already there?
I know your situation doesn't necessarily have any connection to mine, but I'm trying to get a feel for what people do. Thanks for responding!

I’ve done all different amounts throughout my teaching career. It really depends on how many kids u have and if you have a baby that year, etc.
I’ve done at most 16 periods a week divided between two schools and five days .(it was too much for me)
And now I’m down to 4 periods a week in one school divided in two days.

5 periods a day, 5 days a week, all in the same school. 2 of the periods are the same class to 2 different sections. All 4 classes are things I’ve taught before so it’s not a lot of prep.

12 periods a week. Over 4 days so about 3 periods a day. This is only half day.
Last year I taught 24 periods a week, which was basically full time 5-8 periods a day.
(But I'm in the UK)

7 periods a week over 2 days. Wouldn't want more right now. I love teaching and I appreciate vacation.

9 periods a week, mostly 2 a day four days a week with one extra. I teach in one school; I found it very draining when I taught in multiple schools. I would technically add more in the morning, preferably a subject that doesn’t need so much grading like the one I currently teach.

A lot depends if you will take on another period in a subject which you already prepared for and already teach.
I teach 2 periods a week in 2 different schools but it's 1 lesson to prepare. I teach the same material in both schools.

I'm just curious - why are you limiting response to the tri-state area?
I live in Europe, teach 12 periods a week over four days: 2 periods, 5 periods, 2 periods, 3 periods.
I wouldn't take more upon myself. I find it a lot.

Just because I have no idea how it works outside of my area.
Does Europe also have about 8 periods per day, each lasting 40-45 minutes? If yes, then this info is just as helpful! Thank you!

I'm guessing it makes a big difference if you teach the same subject over and over.
I have a good friend who teaches 16 periods a week. 10th grade Chumash. 4 parallel classes each class 4 times a week.
So the preparation was easier even though there was so much marking.
She found this schedule significantly lighter than a different school teaching only 8 periods a week but different subjects, different grades. (3 periods 9th grade Navi, 2 periods 10th grade ivris, 2 periods 10th grade halacha, 1 period 12th grade sifrei Yisroel)
