I’m 22 weeks and gained about 18 lbs.
I eat healthy meals and snack on fruit or other homemade healthy baked goods. No white flour, processed sugars, oils etc.
why am I gaining so much weight??? It’s making me really depressed and is triggering… last pregnancy I struggled with an eating disorder and don’t want to go back there… any tips??

Feel for you. Good that you are eating healthy food. Tips: cut out fruit and all baked goods. They are high in calories that you don't need. I mean, fruit is basically just sugar. Fill up on vegetables and proteins like fish (if you can find a type you can eat when you're pregnant) or eggs (fish are really important for 2nd trimester, omega-3s for baby's brain development. Of course you're supposed to be gaining weight but need to speak with your dr to see what the goal is. But you may be also nibbling or snacking thinking it doesn't count but every bite counts. Putting oil on a salad - that can add hundreds of calories, you need to measure. YOu don't have to deprive yourself of enjoyment, but just need to be mindful. Also chew well, it helps you eat less.

You're Pregnant. Unless your ob directs you otherwise don't try to restrict weight gain. Of course you shouldn't be pigging out on junk food and depriving your baby and yourself of nutrients, but as long as you're eating the right stuff, don't worry about it. You're supposed to gain, both for the baby and to prepare for nursing.
