I reached out to a real estate lawyer about a legal matter, involving real estate.
The lawyer (experienced and frum) said I need a "lawyer who specializes in Bais Din Litigation".
What?
Do they exist?

New York.
How would I locate one in New York?
I dont understand I thought Halachically I cant go to the courts against a Jew, I can only go to Bais Din. So how would a lawyer help?

He works for both beis din and court. So you need one who combines Halacha and law. Are you the house that had the extension built on your property? Ask that lawyer you called to recommend some.

I have many relatives who are in law, including the lawyer I reached out to. None know of lawyers with any involvement with Bais Din.
It must be rare.

You can also ask beis din they have the list. Not sure if I can get the ny ones for you but I’ll see what I can do. Keep asking around.

Any frum lawyer understands the basics of how din torah works. If you have a toein to assist him it's even better. There's never a need, and rarely helpful to have an attorney litigate at beis din sessions. If you need recommendations, I can pm you.

My husband does this but what you basically need is a toen. Attorneys do best in court not so much in Beth din because sadly it’s a mostly corrupt system.
If you’re taking the Beth din route get a good toen instead of a great attorney.
