Can we please ban slip dresses and slip skirts? They’ve been in for way too long now!

So many dresses that I love the color and style, but the thin fabric does not work with my curvy figure!
So many girls and women wearing slip dresses, show every line of their underwear and bulges!
Can we please go back to some nice, non cheapy looking fabrics! I need clothes that sit well on me!!

(For all those too very serious souls on here, this is meant as a humorous petition, but I’m also quite serious about it😉)

I agree!

Unless the material is a nice quality thicker material, it's staticky in the winter and sticky and sweaty in the summer.

I have a couple of satin items but only thicker satin. I got a bunch of slip skirts a couple of years ago when the trend started but when I realized how uncomfortable they were, I got rid.

Ugg yes. It's lingerie material. I find it embarrassing

Let's keep the slip dresses, but put a proper dress over it.

Just skip the trend and buy styles that look good on you.

The style that looks good on me is a slip dress!

Or buy seamless underwear Smile
That might solve (half) the problem...

I do, actually. Did you skip the memo where I wrote that it’s difficult to find clothes because everything is satin material these days?

This.
I'm very in style and I own zero slip dresses.
There are so many things you could buy that are not slip dresses and still look great.
People like them because they're really easy.

Try different stores? In non Jewish stores this trend is mostly over, a few slip skirts here and there. Not many satin dresses.

I love slip dresses. I’m thin and non curvy, I don’t look good in traditional straight skirts, but this really suits me.

If you want to like your clothes, you have to make your own (or hire someone to do it for you).

I love mine! I’m not thin at all!

I do agree about the underwear. I only wear seamless under my slip skirts and a shaping short. It seems like frum women just don’t know that seamless underwear exists and panty lines don’t have to be on display.

She said it's hard to find clothes for herself because the majority of what she sees is this type
And she also said that the petition to ban it is meant to be a joke
I think that explains it pretty well
