I’m looking for a new pediatrician in Lakewood, I heard great things about his bedside manner, that he’s very experienced diagnostician and great w kids, etc. I’m considering switching from Shanik because I got threatened to be kicked out for asking too many questions about the vaccine schedule and wanting to delay my son’s vaccines at a well visit. Anyone know his stance on the vaccine schedule? I just want a provider who I can trust to have an actual discussion w me and not just shut me down for even questioning it… and it would also be great if he’s ok w doing a delayed schedule or just vaccines at 3-4 for school…

Terrible. No parent should be threatened to be kicked out for that. It’s your child your choice.

Yes I know! I was so turned off by the fact that the dr got so defensive and started talking about just like you feed your kids and put them in car seats, you vaccinate…. I’m not a full scale anti vaxxer and have used that Dr for all well visits for both my kids and my first was vaccinated by the book. They didn’t say anything when at 6 months w my second I asked to push off vaccinating for insurance reasons, but at a later visit when I asked questions I was made to sign an official refusal form that said I can be asked to find another provider if I keep being non compliant.
