Also curious to hear from someone who was there what's going on, what the selection is like (colors, sizes, etc) and also for the quality in general.

For anyone else looking, I went this afternoon. Large selection of all different sizes, colors, and lengths. Cut is an extra $150. I can't speak for quality because I just bought it but they said it is comparable to Irene or sary.
