I am a relatively recent BT (6ish years)
The one thing I have not figured out is cooking.
It’s harder for me than any of the mitzvos combined.
I hate to cook. Don’t like to spend time in the kitchen. Work all day on my feet (childcare) and am exhausted at the end of the day. I have two small children and not only can I not figure out how to cook without giving them screen time which I don’t want to do (my older is high needs and can’t really entertain self) and younger is a baby and into everything. )

Anyway.
How do I do it?

This, if anything, is my biggest barrier to being frum
Buying isn’t really an option we live OOT and can’t but kosher food easily without a long car ride.
Like I need recipes that are going to take ten minutes . Is that even a thing?

There are a ton of quick meal cookbooks, but most importantly, is finding the time to save time.

Ie, choose a crockpot/slow-cooker type of meal,
Cook in bulk and freeze
Stock up and freeze fresh staples

Are there teens by you that like to work ? Maybe you could hire one to help with meal prep and clean up. Maybe if the ingredients were ready to go it would be easier.
I find dinner done /between carpools my best go to when I need something easy with normal ingredients that is quick. They have a lot of shortcut kind of ideas.

I think many of us go through phases where it's easier and harder to be organized with food prep and getting meals to the table quickly and easily.

Crock pots are amazing in that you can put the food in and forget about it.

What kinds of foods do you guys enjoy? Maybe we can help you with ideas
