Where would I go to find a gown for a first cousin's wedding? Not super fancy - I'm not a sister. But something long and appropriate. Lakewood is easiest but I would travel to shop as well. Thanks!

To buy or rent?
Esty’s is annoying to shop in but I have gotten real beautiful prices from them.

Is that a rental? Or can you buy?
How does it compare to exquisite?

She does both rentals and sales. Which exquisite? I've been to the new one on Rt 70 but not the other one. The one on Rt 70 also has pretty dresses. Exclusive is not for new dresses. So she has some very unique pieces, she has designer pieces, she has more variety even though she doesn't have a huge selection.

Depending on your budget, I would check out Schwab's first, since they are the cheapest and in some sizes you be quite successful (for example, I found an Exquisite gown in Schwab for my daughter, so we spent several hundred less than had we gotten it at Exquisite). They cost $100 per gown (rental) and are located in the Westgate Shopping Plaza in the right-hand corner (there used to be a flower shop there, and last time I went the sign was still up.) They have hours Sunday morning and some nights, I forget the exact hours.

I really wanted to buy bc I have another cousin on my husband's side so I figured I could wear the gown a couple of times. Any other recommendations for gowns to buy. Under $4/500?

From time to time I've seen McDuggal gowns on sale for that price range, though they might need some tznius alterations.
Some of the local frum stores (Brooklyn SW, Imbue, Fame and others) might carry long elegant dresses that could also work. I bought a long maxi dress that is more elegant (I wouldn't wear it on a regular Shabbos) to wear to my niece's wedding, my daughter's Shabbos Sheva Brachos, and IYH maybe other weddings in the family that come up. It was around $150 so I've already gotten my money's worth.

If you want to buy a long fancy dress and willing to pay 400 try surelle, exquisite on locust, Vera and goldie, Weekend, fame, or periwinkle.
