I feel a little silly asking this... I know theoretically it's supposed to be unhygienic to use makeup that someone else used. But I have a bunch of stuff that I tried once and wasn't the right color for me, and now it's sitting there. I feel bad to throw away something that's basically new, but I can't donate opened makeup. Ironically I probably bought most of it at CVS or other places that let you return what doesn't work but forgot to go ahead and do so and now it's way too late.
Is there anything to do with it that's less guilty and wasteful or do I just need to bite the bullet and throw in the garbage the things that I'm almost surely not going to use?
If anyone is not super squeamish about this and wants to take it btw I'm in NY and can probably find a way to be in touch. But the question is really a general one.

You'd be hard pressed to find a stranger who would take your old makeup. Do you have a sister, mother, or other female relative?
Some makeup can be used as art supplies. You can use liquid eyeliner and foundation like ink, lipstick like crayon, blush and eyeshadow like pastels. Or save the whole gesheft for Purim dress-up.

Toss. I wouldn’t share makeup with my dd.
