Do you make a menu and shopping list before you go shopping, or base your menu off of what you find in the store?
I had chicken put away, so it wasn't on my list; picked up a meat in the store, now I have to check how to make it

Shabbos is more or less the same, but during the week I always make a menu then shop. I usually make a menu between Friday and Sunday morning for the week.

I also often make next week's shopping list as I'm cooking this week. Like I just used my last carrot, so it went on next week's list.

In between. I usually peruse the grocery store app and based on what's on sale, I make my menu. I used to clip the coupons in the store but I got more organized and do it at home first.

It depends. For shabbos and yt I usually make a menu and then shop. For the week, I’m a lousy planner and usually find myself in the store on Monday or Tuesday trying to figure out what to make for dinner. (Sunday leftovers, Monday pasta)

For Shabbos and weekday meals, I usually see what's on sale or looks good and base my meals on that. For YT or special occasions I usually plan a menu first and then shop.
