I made so much food for the first days and BH it went well. But now I have to cook all over again! Looking for some new items to make for our family and our company. Preferably kid-friendly and easy! Not looking to patchke.

My kids love:
Tongue
Grilled chicken rib steak
Franks n blanks
Pickled dark chicken roast

My kids won't touch fish, but this was also a hit with everyone else

I have made that salmon before and it’s delicious! Maybe I’ll make that. I made a different salmon for first days.

I made 2 kinds of fish. 2 different meats. Carrot kugel and broccoli kugel. Roasted veggies. I just need some variety for second days. If anyone has any delicious tried-and-true (easy) recipes I would love to see them. My mind is blanking.

Soup
Hot dogs in blankets
Deli rolls
Stuffed cabbage
Potato Kugel
Rice

I try to have some easy finger foods I can bring along to hakofos for my kids. In Chabad we have hakofos Shmini Atzeres night, simchas Torah both night and day. They end quite late and kids can’t wait to have a full meal then.

Last year the shul had a kiddush which included club sandwiches with cold cuts, chicken fingers, meat cigars, egg rolls, potato knishes, hot dogs n blanks and deli rolls. That was enough for my kids. My kids had soup before shkiah so they weren’t as hungry.

Just make most of the same foods again

It’ll save your sanity

Can you just vary the ingredients slightly to keep the same structure? Like frozen cauliflower instead of frozen broccoli into a kugel, or peach crisp instead of apple cranberry?

Deli rugalech is a huge hit. Made with mallawach dough.
It is a bit of a package though

I'm looking for a child-friendly yummy easy chicken dish. We have an extra meal coming up- instead of 6 meals, we have 7 counting Hoshana Rabba so I need something else. Shemini Atzeres and Simchas Torah day meals will be a roast (plus stuffed cabbage on Simchas Torah). Night meals will be chicken but I need more ideas

Most popular chicken-
Layer onions on the bottom of the pan, sprinkle chicken with onion, garlic, pepper, paprika, thyme, brush with duck sauce
I sometimes add potatoes or sweet potatoes underneath too

Maple mustard chicken from Miriam pascal (overtime cook. com) is always a hit with my kids

Raspberry glazed drumsticks-mix raspberry jam with lemon juice and splash of soy sauce, pour over drumsticks and bake uncovered for 30ish minutes on 400
