How do you entertain young kids (ages 1-5) in the sukkah?
DD is almost 5 and has no interest in sitting for meals. She mostly plays with playmobile or a train set during shabbos meals but I’m not sure how to make a nice spot for that in the sukkah. We don’t have a lot of extra space in it and it’s connected to a detached garage, not the house. (There’s some kind of small creature living in the garage so a couch out there isn’t an option). Do you entertain your kids at the table? Set up a play area? Send them out to play?

We have a few spare feet outside the Sukkah on the deck, so I gated the deck stairs and left a few toys there for them to play with right outside the succah. Can you set up the garage with riding toys etc ?

A small creature? I would be scared to eat in the sukkah then…

My porch is right off the kitchen/dining room so they sometimes go inside to play

It comes and goes through a gap under the man door, so I’m not worried about it coming into the sukkah. It just likes to chew anything with stuffing and make a bed out of it.
