I’ve had the vivo barefoot sneakers and liked them, but you definitely see the shape of the toe box is atypical. I had the Xero sneakers as well, they were comfortable but I didn’t like them as much.

Not barefoot but yes "minimalist" as in, wide toe box and zero drop aka totally flat not higher at the heel -- altra. I think I paid around 60-80 on Amazon. Very happy with them.

I did research when buying shoes for my kids. To me the most important is a wide toe box to maintain the natural shape of the foot. My boys only wear barefoot shoes now. In having a hard time finding for myself.
