You need to find out from your Rabbi how big he thinks a shiur is. There are many opinions.

I was told to fill one cheek with liquid and spit it into a glass and mark how much that is.

This was years ago so I don't know if I remember every detail but I think I was told to drink as much as I want with a bowl and spoon like you eat soup. That way I wouldn't have to measure.
Maybe your rabbi knows exactly how it was
ETA I think it was specifically a teaspoon

I found a little container from Dart that seems to be a good size. I was told less than a schnapps cup because they are more than one ounce. Was told 2 tablespoons

Fyi, some shot glasses today are much larger than 1 oz. Some are even two and a half ounces

You can buy 1 oz shot glasses on Amazon or at a pharmacy ( the little medicine cups that come with liquid medicine).

I weighed food b4 YK. It’s 18grams which is one ounce.
On a plastic cup I measured one ounce and make a line with a permanent makers.

Some sefardi goes by weight, Ashkenazi goes by volume.
Everyone can go for weight by liquids because liquids is the exact same (30 ml=30 g)
