As I read through thread after thread of woman struggling in finances I can't help but wonder why I should even bother davening for wealth or more money anymore.

Hashem hasn't deemed that I or anyone else in these threads be blessed with wealth. As I try to have emunah I wonder if I am just wasting my time. We took all the right steps in our career choices towards wealth but it has not come. I am not destitude and am eternally grateful for that. But some of you have davened and have done really well for yourselves.

But I sit here and wonder why some few people have been blessed with wealth. I am willing to continue to give Maaser. It just seems that more money would REALLY solve some of my small struggles now. Should I just shut up and be grateful for what I do have?

you can be grateful without shutting up Wink
I think it's ok to keep davening. I think it's also important to focus on what good you do get. when you focus on appreciating the good you have I feel like you are opening yourself up to more good.
I can tell you that I don't think I've ever won anything in my life before. I just won a spot in a course. I was absolutely shocked! there can always be a first.

Don't daven to get rich. מרבה נכסים, מרבה דאגה. Daven to have enough for all your needs and those of your wants that are good for you.

I agree with previous poster about wealth though. I have no desire to be incredibly rich. just comfortable enough Smile daven that Hashem takes care of you. There's different ways for him to do that.

You are right. I do not need to be rich. I just don't want to have to move funds around so the tuition payment clears. The funds are there but not comfortably. I just wonder why some people have had this bracha so easily.

True, but in order to be comfortable nowadays, one needs to be rich. Cost of living in the frum world is a fortune.

Those threads about women struggling so badly financially depress me terribly.

I too, am struggling. I hate that I'm not alone and that others are in as much (or more) financial crises.

It's very very sad and draining to live like this (not being able to afford even the bare basics unless we put it on a credit card.... And then constantly worry how well pay it off).

I did the "right" thing by going to college. I'm making a "decent" salary. But dh is so unsuccessful in Parnassah (it's actually humiliating. And it's killing him mentally. Dont even ask the last time we were intimate... He has zero libido and worries all day and night about money)...

It's just so sad.

In life there will be those who do everything right and are poor.

Those who do everything right and get sick.

Those who do everything right and get divorced. Who have kids that leave yiddishkeit. Who have mental health issues. Who can’t have children. Who never get married…

Some have more than one or many of the above.

The thing is, the work and toil doesn’t justify the outcome. Hashem has a plan for you no matter how much hishtadlus you do.

If you strengthen yourself in emunah and bitachon, you will ask yourselves these questions less and less.

Try to listen to Michael Safdieh or learn an emunah Sefer and your life will change in ways you never thought possible.

Why do some people have happy healthy childhoods? Loving families? Great looks? Good friends? Happy marriages? Well-behaved children?
And on the flip side who are children abused, why do parents die young, why are there wars, mental illness, and so so so much suffering?
