A family we are close to invited my dd11(mature) to go to Israel with them for Chanuka. They want her help in the airport and while flying. When she gets to Israel we have some relatives she can stay with. They would be paying for her trip.
This family is going for a Simcha. But they need to book tickets now so they need an answer from us about dd. What if the matzav is not great and I Dont feel comfortable sending?
I know she’ll be well taken care of. The relatives are in jslm but still… who knows.
We’ve gone to Israel a couple years ago as a family so it’s not like she’s never been there and this is a once in a lifetime trip
What would you do?

I have been living in Israel in the Jerusalem area for 5 years and have not been affected by rockets or terror attacks
People often are hesitant from scares but do not realize enough the level of shmira that exists BH.
I think it’s a beautiful opportunity not to be missed.

If I lived there I wouldn’t hesitate. If I had a simcha I (probably) wouldn’t hesitate. But to send my dd “just bc it’s a nice idea and a treat”, I’m not as sure.
Maybe I’m wrong?

11 seems very young to go along to help another family in the airport and while flying. I wouldn't do it. Especially now.

I’m not so worried about the helping part. The family she would be going with is almost like family for us and it’ll be like helping with younger siblings for her.
It’s more the going to Israel that I’m hesitant about
